Tip-top Toes

via

If your little one is anything like mine, at some point she started noticing that Mama's nails were a little fancier than hers. She doesn't ask to have matching toes all the time, but when she does, it kind of makes me melt when she sits so quietly and enjoys being pampered!

Here are some tips to make sure you're actually having fun:

-Use the same color that you have on...they get a kick out of being like mom!

-Paint quickly! Going fast is key to not wearing out anyone's patience.

-Use thin coats that will dry more speedily.

-Don't bother painting perfectly - any polish that's not on their nails will come off in the bath or with hand-washing.

(P.S. I know a lot of you want to make the healthiest choices for your kiddos, and there are lots of lists you can find online for 5-free, non-toxic nail polishes. My favorites are Zoya (hooray for Amazon!), and Sonia Kashuk (three cheers for Target!).)
