I love the 4th of July! It seems like we often celebrate it in different places, but good company, good food, and fireworks are always involved...or at least sparklers. :) Here are some ideas if you're needing to add more red, white, and blue to your festivities!
Crepe bunting is inexpensive, and makes a statement with cafe lights on a patio:
Lawn stars are super fun, and all you need is a stencil and flour!
These s'mores give a patriotic twist to the summer classic:
And this mason jar DIY only gets better as the day ends:

Wow - I can't believe that it's this hot, and we're not (technically) to summer yet! We're breaking out the sprinkler and sunscreen, and I can already tell that this popsicle mold is going to be a huge hit for the next few months. For our first batch, I just turned our morning smoothies into popsicle treats for the hot afternoon!
You can use almost anything in your kitchen for smoothies, but my basic recipe uses ice, fresh and frozen fruit, baby spinach (great way to sneak in some veggies!), yogurt, and some kind of liquid to help it blend easily - either milk or juice. Today I used a banana, a peach, a frozen berry mix, baby spinach, vanilla yogurt, almond milk, and some cinnamon:
After blending, I poured it into the popsicle mold and froze overnight:
And they were a huge hit! I can't wait to make some more and get creative with the recipes.

I don't know about you, but the news that Netflix is going to be the go-to streaming source for all things Disney/Pixar soon has me SO EXCITED. I can't wait to introduce my kiddos to the movies from my childhood!
This looks like the best movie night ever:
...but also a lot of work :). While it would definitely be memorable for a birthday or some other party, I want ways to make the more "boring" movie nights more fun.
Special popcorn recipes like this one would be an easy twist on the classic movie snack:
And these pillow beds would be perfect to pull out for a family movie! (There are tons of tutorials for this simple DIY on Pinterest.)
Enjoy the show!

I always loved May Day when I was little! We would make bouquets and put them by our neighbors' doors, ring the doorbells, and try to run away before they saw who it was...though we probably weren't successful :).
I rounded up a few ways to celebrate this year, starting with the classic paper cone bouquets we used to do:
These "seed bombs" would be so fun to make for a preschool class!
I've been looking for flower crown tutorials everywhere, and this is the first one that made me think "I'd actually make that!" So cute, and I can get all of the materials at one place (maybe I'm not a real mom yet, because I don't own a hot glue gun. I just have to ignore any DIY that requires them, so floral tape seemed genius here!).
And for the really ambitious, the kids would think you were a hero (or maybe a fairy) if you made a Maypole for the yard!
